The crazy weather fun

I don't know how we can go from snow to the 70's in about 5 days, but that's North Carolina weather for you. The boys enjoyed the snow yesterday and Damion was thrilled to get the day off. Only problem now is that he has to go for a make-up day... on SATURDAY!

The boys love getting all bundled up to go out in the snow. Although this was a "warmer" snow day than most, they insisted on the whole nine yards. And, I grudgingly let Logan get all bundled up and go play with his big boy undies on. Luckily, there were no accidents. YEAH LOGAN!

Eating snow is cool and all. I sugggest every kid trys it... but let's make sure the snow you eat has not been stepped on with muddy feet!

FACE OFF!
The neighbor kids were outside also and the youngest girl was on the trampoline with her friend while the oldest girl was on the ground. It was two on one in this snowball fight until Karley (the oldest) called Damion over to be on her team. It was really awesome of her to do and he had a blast.

And Logan... well he spent two hours entertaining himself and was QUITE happy about it thank you!

Damion's 1st Grade Performance

This year, for their music performance, Damion's class did a song about Kings. They each took a turn carrying around a pillow with the kings crown and they got to create their own crowns in art class.
Singing the School Song...

Playing his instrument...

Carrying the King's crown...

Just one of those cute moments

Chip n' Dale?

Okay. I realize that without pants this child looks like he is ready to go entertain some women on stage, BUT we were just trying it on prior to washing it to make sure that it fit. Man... that is one good lookin' three year old if I do say so myself!

AWWWWWWW

These pictures tug at my heartstrings...

Pssst... my secret.

Okay. I am going to show you the REAL reason I throw these parties for my kids...

Yeah... I know. They are the most precious little girls I know. Thanks Noah and Carrie for bringing my girl fix over for the day!

Don't forget presents!

Logan got so many great presents. Everything from books to Play-Doh... from clothes to stuffed animals. But every kid has some favorites.

Money is one of them...

And he was so excited to get "SPACE BUDDIES" (he has been yelling about it for a month now!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOGAN!

Logan turned three and we had a Mickey Mouse party for him. Of course, we are such awesome parents that we forgot the cake until the day of the party. So it went like this:

1:00 pm: (party starts at 2:00 pm) MIKE! We don't have a cake!
1:45 pm: Mike walks in with the cake and says... "Here. Now we have a cake."

Me: "Umm... honey, it's a Car's cake... this is a Mickey party."
Mike: "Look. I did the best that I could. My selection was that or Princesses... which would you prefer?"
Me: "Okay... Cars will do."

Of course, it didn't make a difference either way. Logan is three and he had cake. What a simple life.

My Valentine

Being that my husband is SEVERELY OCD and that he can not STAND little messes (i.e. spilled milk, yogurt mouths, jelly hands) I was SHOCKED to wake up Valentine's morning with little heart candies on all of my keyboard keys!

At first I didn't know what to say. My brain had two options. Option 1: "What the hell were you thinking putting food on my computer!!" and Option 2: "Awww. Love you baby. Happy Valentine's Day."

I opted for option 2.

Lego my Legos!

I have no idea what it is about kids and Legos. If you give a kid a pile of Legos, chances are likely they are going to build a house. I built them, you probably built them, my kids build them. Maybe it's because they are square and fairly easy...

Coke Bottle Heads

Years ago, Papa started making coffee with the boys and he would put coffee filters on their heads. The tradition continues to this day whenever the boys are over. This time the whole family got involved. I am still not quite sure why, but I'm guessing the boys made them do it!
